Description

The Fox and the Hound Amos Slade and Copper Layout Drawings Group of 4 by John Musker (Walt Disney, 1981). "Copper!" Amos Slade shouts, wide eyed, as the bear looms over him. The hunter becomes the hunted in this intense and dramatic moment from The Fox and the Hound. The 16-field layout drawings are rendered in graphite and graphite with color pencil, capturing the second when Copper rushes between Slade and the bear to protect him. This moment can be found at about the 1:15:10 mark of the film. The expressive drawings from this climactic moment were created by John Musker, an experienced Disney artist and writer who worked as one of Slade's character animators. The tense drawings of Copper range from 3.5'' x 3.5'' to 3.5'' x 4.5'' while the drawings of Slade are about 7'' x 3.5''. One drawing has a timing chart in the top right corner and the pages are noted as C-18, C-20, H-17, and H-18. These remarkable drawings capture one of the most nerve-wracking moments in the film with brilliant detail and composition. They exhibit minor edge and handling wear with superficial wrinkles. Good to Very Good condition for this incredible lot!
