Vladimir Zelensky reported on the report of the AFU commander-in-chief Oleksandr Syrskyy. Heavy fighting is now taking place along the entire front line.

The President wrote about it in Facebook.

There has just been a report of the Chief commander Alexander Syrsky. There is heavy fighting along the entire front line. Special attention is paid to Kharkiv, Pokrovske and other areas in Donetsk Region," the report said.

Zelensky and Syrsky discussed the actions and strengthening of the Ukrainian military's positions in Kharkiv region, and separately in Chasovyi Yar in Donetsk.

Zelensky also spoke about the situation in Kharkiv region in the evening video message.

The main thing is Kharkivshchina. Russian troops today tried to expand operations against Ukraine. We understand the volume of the occupier's forces, we see his plan. Our soldiers, our artillery, our drones give an answer to the occupier, - said the President.

Zelensky expressed gratitude to the Ukrainian defenders. According to the President, the necessary reinforcement has been sent to the Kharkiv direction.

Both along the line of our state border and along the entire front line, we will invariably destroy the occupier precisely so as to thwart any Russian offensive intentions," Zelensky added.

We shall remind you that on 10 May, the Russian army became more active in the Kharkiv area - the occupants tried to break through the defence line. The Defence Ministry has sent reserve units to this section of the front.

The Kharkiv Regional State Administration reported shelling of civilians throughout the day. At least two people were killed, two more wounded. Residents of the Volchansk and Lipetsk districts are being urged to evacuate.
