Construction begins on expansion for new transloading facility in Berkeley County

Construction will begin on a 660,000 square feet expansion for a transloading facility in Berkeley County Thursday.

A groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion of the RoadOne facility will be held at 11:30 a.m. at 1932 Dawson Branch Road Ext. in Summerville.

According to RoadOne, the expansion will occur in two phases. The first phase will be 380,000 square feet, which is scheduled to open in early 2025. The second phase will be 280,000 square feet, which is scheduled to open in early 2027 or as warranted by demand.
