After belting out with the Barden Bellas in Pitch Perfect, Anna Camp is ready to play polar opposite twins in You Season 5. The Netflix original starring Penn Badgley as Joe Goldberg, a hopeless romantic with stalker tendencies, will release its final season later this year. According to Variety, Camp will portray both Reagan and Maddie Lockwood, Joe’s sisters-in-law. Their official character descriptions read:

“Raegan is the cunning, cutthroat CFO of the Lockwood Corp who has her eyes on the throne and will crush any adversary… be them family or not. Maddie, on the other hand, presents as the unserious twin, a thrice-divorced socialite whose job is ‘vaguely PR.’ But make no mistake, a master manipulator lies underneath Maddie’s frivolous façade.”

In recent set images shared by Digital Spy, Badgley and Camp are seen filming together in the streets of New York.Yet, it is unclear who the actress is playing in the behind-the-scenes look, which might hint at her identity in the show being a constant mystery for viewers. Camp isn’t the only new addition to the cast of You Season 5. Other names have been confirmed, including Charlotte Richie, Madeline Brewer, and Griffin Matthews. Last week, Deadline also reported that Natasha Benham, Pete Ploszek, and Tom Francis are going to have supporting roles.

The Netflix series based on Caroline Kepnes’ best-selling books has been a hit for the streamer since it came out in 2018. Although plot details for the upcoming season are still under wraps, the location for the next batch of episodes will not be London. Badgley’s character will return to New York City, the place where he lived in Season 1, and will continue to build a life next to his current partner Kate (played by Richie). Since Joe is now aware that he isn't a good man (a realization that took far too long), he will be embracing his dark side once and for all in Season 5.

‘You’s Upcoming Season Will Also Tie Loose Ends From Joe’s Past

Although the protagonist’s quest for love had various dark twists and turns, Joe was able to get away with a lot of the dead bodies and tragic events that unfolded during his journey on screen. In Season 5, the character’s past will come back to haunt him as he sees a familiar face during his return to New York. Although Badgley did not reveal who this individual might be, a clip shared at the TUDUM event last year showcases a few victims of Joe’s schemes from previous seasons, including the falsely imprisoned Dr. Nicky (John Stamos) and the orphaned Ellie (Jenna Ortega).

You Season 5 currently has no release date. The first four seasons are streaming now on Netflix.
