Multiple roads closed off by police after 'horrific' crash with person cut free from car

Multiple roads were closed off by police after a 'horrific' crash near Bolton on Sunday afternoon (May 19). Police, paramedics and fire crews attended the scene of the serious collision at the crossroad, between Hawkshaw and Edgworth.

Emergency services cordoned off the area at the junction Bury Road, Bradshaw Road, Ramsbottom Road and Tottington Road, beside the Walves Reservoir after the crash, which involved two cars.

The Manchester Evening News understands at least three people were involved in the collision, with one person cut from a car by fire crews using specialist equipment.
