Australian pop rock singer-songwriter Sam Fischer released a new song “Parents” along with a music video on May 17, 2024.
The song is his first solo single since the 2023 debut album “I Love You, Please Don't Hate Me”.
Also, it is the first release as an independent artist.
The track was written and produced by Ryan Marrone and Sam Fischer.
“The most special shoutout to my brother in art Ryan Marrone for taking the bones of this song & bringing them to life,” Sam Fischer said of the song. “I didn't plan on this song taking a year to put out from the first time I posted it but things don't always go the way you want them to. Regardless, I'm so grateful to u all for waiting so long & still being here to receive it after all this time, especially as it's now my first independent release, it means the world. If you can relate to this song, I'm so sorry, but I hope u know you're not alone. & to all the parents out there, like my own mum, who continue to show up for their kids with unconditional love & support, you're doing them & me proud.”- Before the release of the song, he shared on social media, “There hasn't been a day in last year that someone hasn't asked me where the 'Parents' song is. And truthfully I did make it a full song a year ago and I took it to my label. But they didn't wanna put it out. So i'm no longer with a label and put it out myself.”
