NATIONAL Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for North Tongu Constituency in the Volta Region, Honourable Samuel Okudzeto-Ablakwa has supported Miss Eyra Arnong, the best 2024 graduating student of the College of Distance Education at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) in the Central Region.

Miss Eyra Arnong is a native of Mepe Traditional Area in the North Tongu District of the Volta Region.

"Yesterday, it was an honour to host the inspirational Miss Eyra Arnong from Mepe in my beloved constituency. She was the best 2024 graduating student and valedictorian for the 56th Congregation of the College of Distance Education, University of Cape Coast with a CGPA of 3.9104," the young outspoken politician stated in a news item copied to Soireenews.com.

According to the MP, it is remarkable what she has accomplished despite being displaced by last year’s Volta River Authority (VRA) spillage from the Akosombo Dam. 

Honourable Okudzeto-,Ablawa commended UCC for offering Miss Arnong scholarship for her Masters covering her tuition fees, in addition to three awards she received from the university. 

He assured that "On my part as her MP, I 
have offered full financial support for her accommodation, full living expenses and donated a laptop of her choice. 

He stressed that "I congratulate Eyra once more and wish her the very best."
