Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg celebrated his 40th birthday surrounded by his loved ones, sharing rare photos of his three daughters via social media.
"Grateful for my first 40 years!" Zuckerberg shared on Facebook on Tuesday, May 14, expressing his gratitude. "Priscilla threw me a little party and recreated a bunch of places I lived in the early days."
He shared the details of his birthday celebration alongside his wife Priscilla Chan and their daughters: Maxima, 8, August, 6, and Aurelia, 13 months, as they went down memory lane.
In one snapshot featuring the children, they're on a set resembling Pinocchio's Pizza & Subs in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where Zuckerberg humorously noted he "basically lived" during his college years.
Another photo showcased Zuckerberg with his two oldest daughters in a room with a '90s desktop computer, captioned "Showing my girls the room I grew up in."
Mark also shared replicas of significant spaces from his past, including the "childhood bedroom where I learned to code" and the "first apartment with just a mattress on the floor where I stayed until we reached 100 million people," referencing the journey he went on with the creation of Facebook.
Chan also went to social media to share the celebration, posting heartwarming photos on Instagram. "Mark doesn't usually let me go big for his birthday, but for his 40th, I was allowed to throw a bash as long as our friends and family also roasted him," she wrote. "We all had a blast! Let's just say that no one suffered from a lack of material!"
Accompanying her heartfelt words were family photographs, including a moment captured as the couple shared a kiss with their three daughters by their side.
