Bro should have probably gotten a service medal for turning down a woman

I am still watching the episode, I wouldn't be surprised if he does sleep with her eventually... Again. But goddamn, bro must be fighting his inner demons while kicking her out like that

Finish the episode, then give us an update.

OP only likes the beginning of things.

Damnn nothing could have prepared me for that scene

They play it off like a dream, but Don actually murdered that woman. Megan cleaned up and disposed of the body. That's why she's so moody and mad at Don for the rest of the series.

I’ve thought this. I’ve never went into the “conspiracy” other than thinking of it in general. You’re on to something.

u/a_taco_named_desire avatar

I mean why else would you write a $1,000,000 check to somebody?

What. Seriously?

u/ThbUds_For avatar

You don't remember Don's serial killer arc? For me that was when Dick Whitman finally transformed into Don Draper. It was so dark what he had to do to get ideas for killer ads.

Keep watching.

Was she even there at all?

I think they saw each other in the elevator and that was the only real part. I don’t think she ever even came to his apartment

This. It’s up to debate that she was even real at all, but if she was she certainly isn’t more than a fleeting interaction in the elevator that Don’s psyche blew way out of proportion in his fever dream state.

It’s honestly a very interesting look into Don’s personality and limits. Is this something he’s truly capable of if pushed to the breaking point? Or is it something his fever dreaming mind is coming up with in a dark place? We don’t really know.

u/ehh_haa avatar

I don’t think it’s meant to be taken as Don having the capacity for murder as much as Don feeling his adulterous past following him and getting in the way of his marriage & wishing he could bury it. Dream sequences are predominantly metaphorical.

Slightly off topic but good god is Jon Hamm hot. Perfect casting tbh as I truly do believe he could pull any woman who slightly glances towards him. He pulls off 50s straight edge too well.

OK Buddy Draper was well aware of the episode before he made this garbage post.

Nah, I posted it while I was watching it, thought it was funny that Don actually turned down a woman.

imo it's extra funny because he actually didn't, he had a fevered delusion of being a guy capable of turning down a woman

Lol yeah, impossible for dude to turn down a woman

You talking about Bluto?

Richard Speck.
He's featured in Netflix's Mindhunter Season 1 Episode 9.

Cancelling that show at two seasons was a shame. I’ll have to rewatch it, bc the last season was getting really good.

u/jzilla11 avatar

He’s a bad penny

What do you think she meant by that?

u/jzilla11 avatar

There’s a phrase “a bad penny always turns up”, so maybe a mistake or bad deed that keep popping up in your life?

Interesting, thanks!
