Eligibility/Qualification: Candidates must hold an MSc in life science, environmental biology, or molecular biology, with a strong academic record. Key knowledge in marine biology/ecology, plant physiology, or sediment biogeochemistry is required. Experience with relevant techniques such as electrochemical microsensors, PAM imaging, chemical imaging, or DNA extraction/sequencing is advantageous. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, interdisciplinary curiosity, and a collaborative spirit.

Description: The selected PhD Fellow will lead a project within the research group, investigating the effects of nutrient-induced leaf epiphytes on seagrass ecosystems. This includes assessing optical properties, photosynthetic capacity, greenhouse gas production, and decomposition processes in seagrass habitats. The research will be highly interdisciplinary, involving environmental biologists, molecular biologists, and chemists. The project offers opportunities for experimental research, specialized training, and international collaboration.
