GREENWOOD, S.C. – Two members of the Barton College softball team – junior designated player
Gracelyn Massey (Princeton, N.C.) and senior pitcher
Miranda Holmes (Godwin, N.C.) – earned 2024 D2CCA NCAA Division II All-Southeast Region honors. Massey was named to the all-region first team while Holmes garnered second-team all-region accolades. D2CCA is the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association.
Massey, who was named to the NFCA All-Southeast Region First Team last week, finished the season with a .470 batting average to go along with a school-record 13 home runs, 20 doubles, 56 runs batted in and an .866 slugging percentage.
Holmes sported a 22-11 record with a 2.07 earned run average, 10 shutouts and a school-record 304 strikeouts this spring. Currently, Holmes also ranks second in the nation in total strikeouts. Both Massey and Holmes were named to the 2024 All-Conference Carolinas First Team. Barton went 27-24 on the season including a 13-11 mark in league play.
