Pitbull is officially joining the ton. The Cuban singer is set to feature in Season 3 of the Netflix romance series Bridgerton, which will premiere in two parts, with Part 1 debuting on May 16, and Part 2 on June 13. Or, at least, his music is.

Bridgerton is notorious for its orchestral pop covers and in Season 3 Part 1, fans will hear, along with many other great instrumental covers, Pitbull’s “Give Me Everything – Stripped Down” by Archer Marsh. The original featured Ne-Yo, Afrojack, and Nayer and has become a well-recognized hit worldwide.

“That cover is so great because I feel like it’s a little bit outside of the sound of the covers we normally hear,” music supervisor Justin Kamps said about the Pitbull cover. “The song is amazing, it has this great build to it and it’s going to be really fun to see the fan reactions.”

Kamps also told Tudum.com that when it comes to choosing a song like that, “I start to try to think of songs from the past that could maybe work for this and then also current hits that could possibly make sense,” adding that “then it’s really down to the script and then the themes. And sometimes initially it’s about what matches the choreography and then later it’s about what matches the scene and the emotion.” And apparently, Pitbull fit those requirements.

The third season of Bridgerton will focus on the friends-to-lovers romance between the third Bridgerton brother, Colin, and Penelope Featherington. But there’s more to the season than Colin finally seeing Penelope for who she is because she is also hiding a secret from Colin and everyone else: she is Lady Whistledown. Now the question is, how will Colin react when he finds out? And which scene will Pitbull be featured in?

The full soundtrack for Part 1 will be released on May 16, the same day Part 1 releases on Netflix.
