Blue Lock season 2 is officially set to debut in Fall 2024. The news was confirmed on the anime series’ official X (Twitter) account along with an illustration by manga artist Yusuke Nomura.
The sports anime series focuses on Japan’s national football team. The story follows the recruitment of Jinpachi Ego by the Japan Football Union after the team secured a lower position in the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Jinpachi’s appointment was part of his master plan to propel Japan to greatness through a training programme called Blue Lock.
Season 1 aired from October 2022 to March 2023 and after its conclusion, the second season was immediately confirmed along with a spin-off movie during the end credits.
