So I dropped my car off at Sewell collision who did a perfect job repairing my door… yet immediately I noticed my AC is now not working. They wanted $300 for a diagnostic fee and when I told them I’m not paying for something they broke on my vehicle I was told by the body shop Manager that I am now “banned” from all Sewell dealerships. This is pretty odd to me since I actually have a warranty on my car with them… And have had a very positive experience with their service department. Not to mention I paid for an alignment in advance and they’ve yet to refund me ($450-500)
Along with this the collision center told me my $700 payment to them “isn’t seen on their end.” I called my bank on speaker phone in the store to verify that yes the payment went through/is approved and Citi bank cannot cancel it they said. It was honestly bizarre and I’ve never had a business tell me that a payment of mine that went through “wasn’t seen on their end.” They want me to pay again yet the charge is still on my account and I have no idea what to do. Can anyone please give me advice on how to proceed in regards to my broken AC thanks to Sewell collision center?

Are you in Dallas? I used to go to Sewell Lexus when I drove a Lexus, I've had no issues with Sewell as brand for maintenance and repair with my old Lexus.
I would start by posting a bad review, make it public that they screwed you over, also reach out to their corporate HQ. Someone will force the shop to explain what happened with your car.
I’m in north Houston. I’ve had zero issues with them before as well, I used them to service my car for years and now I’m not even sure where I’ll go. The collision people I’ve never worked with before though and those are the ones who broke my AC.
