A few threads already about last nights show but I thought I'd add to them and share my experience and pics winky.gif

I live on the central coast of Oregon and we went out front about 10 pm pacific time when it got dark enough to see the stars. There was some haze/fog building and we were worried but hoped we'd see "something" so I took my iphone 11 (old) with and old app in it called "nightcap" I think we got for no more than 1 or 2 bucks and I  brought a selfie tripod for phones. This is what we saw:

we saw some green and a little banding and thought; "okay kinda cool" and took a few more pics (the same) and went inside.

About 15 minutes later we came out again because my wife was following "spaceweatherlive" (.com) and it said it was getting strong. At first we saw more banding and a little brighter colors and then BOOM it bloomed!

streams and curtains and all kinds of colors! and it got brighter and would fade and another section would pop and we went nuts!

We were blown away, our first Northern Lights right in front of the house! I'm still giggling...
