Frances J. Moore OBITUARY

FRANCES J. MOORE Resident of Millbrae Passed away peacefully on January 3, 2007. A native of Council Bluffs, Iowa, age 85, she moved to San Francisco in 1940 to wed her sweetheart, Byron Moore. In 1955, she and her family moved to Millbrae. Frances and her late husband, Byron were fantastic partners, in every sense. They owned a number of businesses including Moore Machine Works and Midway Market. Life-long dance partners, they were board members of the Golden Gate Chapter of National Smooth Dancers, Inc., where Frances was honored as Queen. She, and her love of 53 years, never failed to give a family member or friend a helping hand. Frances, a woman of substance, will be with us always; remembered forever by the people whose lives she touched. She is survived by her children, Pat Horsley of Salinas and Steve Moore of Millbrae; five grandchildren: Trish Gardiner, Kris Velasco, Beth Gomez, Aaron Moore and Julie Moore; five great-grandchildren: Maddie, Lulu, Collin, Sophia and Katy. She has two nieces: Jacque Alger and Patty Kassay and twelve nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Byron and sister, Pat Skelton of Millbrae. A Celebration of her Life will be on Sunday, January 21, 2007 from 2 pm-6 pm at the El Rancho Inn’s Terrace Caf in the Palm Room, Millbrae.
