The burning vehicles crashed through the fence and hit the front of the house.
Two cars have been set alight and then driven through a fence and onto a property in Melbourne’s northwest.

Two cars have been set alight and then driven through a fence and onto a property in Melbourne’s northwest.

The burning vehicles crashed through the fence at 2am on Tuesday on McCracken St in Essendon, with one of the cars hitting the front room, damaging the house.

There was a 47-year-old man and 32-year-old woman inside the home at the time, but neither was injured.

The drivers of the cars managed to escape before emergency services arrived.

Police are investigating and, at this stage, believe the incident was a targeted attack.
