Koa isn't much unlike some of Ariana's other roles, namely Minnow in Love and Monsters, as she is a capable fighter for her age. The core reason this role works so well for Ariana is that she bounces off of Adam Driver's performance so well. Even if the film itself is forgettable, audiences will have a hard time forgetting the dynamic between these two impeccable actors and what they were able to make of the less-than-inspiring source material.
