Chimmon genuinely looks grossed out half the time. They just dont 'click'. They don't have believable chemistry to me, and i don't get the hype 🤷♂️
I honestly wonder why they haven't given them new partners at this point. The chemistry is off and the attraction always feels totally one sided.

As the resident PerthChimmon hater, I absolutely agreed with this. I don’t know how GMMTV are not seeing this. Chimmon is good individually and we know Perth is a chemistry master. They are fumbling so bad😭😭

I’m going to be honest- PerthChimon have zero chemistry and though the friend thing has worked for GMM in the past I can’t see why they are branding these two so heavily But ALSO I think Chimon doesn’t do well in kissing scenes with women either 🤣 don’t get me wrong I think he’s a fine actor but kissing on screen is an art and he REALLY hasn’t nailed it
These two were the first duo to spring to mind when I saw this post. No idea how I made it to the end of Dangerous Romance. I think I was hoping it would get better but they just looked so uncomfortable right to the end. I actually commented that they were too bro-y and one person shouted me down - literally! All caps and everything. They said I was blind. But, I mean, I’m not. They really aren’t good together!
Idk there are a few BL actors I could never like. Chimmon is one of them. Something about him doesn't fit in for me 😕

Agreed. Last ep of 2gether is still my most hated episode. They could have ended it at the mountains and it would have been a good ending. But no, we had to see 2 "boyfriends" high five each other after publicly outing their relationship in a school event. Like wtf. 🙄

I think Pavelpooh have good chemistry, it's just pooh is not nearly as good an actor as pavel so it kinda detracts from it.

That plotine was gross too. Star becomes romantically involved with teenage fan 🤢 KinnPorsche was an entertaining show and well made, but it was pretty morally bankrupt, in front of and behind the camera.
I found Jeff/ Barcode to be ( sorry to them both) abysmal as a pairing. I was biased though, because I loved Jeff/ Gameplay. We got teased with Gameplay being first cast in K/P , but I get that he’s a working actor and couldn’t just sit for the many months of difficulty that K/ P went through before BoC officially re- launched the project. Jeff Satur is a very credible talent, he holds a screen well, and he has matured into a gorgeous human being. Barcode is very young*, he shows some promise. But he has a very long way to go. Zero chemistry for me with them.
I feel like Jeff sees Barcode as a child. And Barcode is really attached to Jeff but in a brotherly way. The age gap is just too big.

It's not that I'm emotionally invested in them (I watched TharnType after the drama had come and gone), but why don't you think they have good chemistry? TT is toxic AF, obvs, and who knows what the deal is IRL, but I thought their chemistry was ridiculous (in a good way) in TT.

I can't feel Neo chemistry with anyone lol He is a good actor, don't get me wrong. His characters are always full of personality and he really give us good scenes, but all bl series with him I feel like he is not actually comfortable with the kisses and all (his acting with Force was good but I could still feel he was forcing). That is just me tho. I saw some others that also thinks his chemistry is good in BLs.
That's exactly how I feel about Neo. Man is awkward with BL but still acts in supporting roles.

Very much agree with jeffbarcode and I don't think the age difference is a problem so much as the fact that barcode was literally a minor before KP started shooting. Imagine being in your mid 20s and being introduced to some 16 year old kid as a romantic partner in an upcoming show. There's an age difference between Zeenunew but because they're both adults, it doesn't act as much of a detractor

I agree with KristSingto. Their Sotus pairing was pretty much shot down with Krist's dislike with bl roles. Tho his recent bl pairing with Gawin was great and he seemed much more comfortable than in Sotus. I'm kinda curious what his new upcoming drama with Singto again will look like.
Dunno about OhmFluke. I kinda liked them. Yeah, it was nothing special compared to other pairings from the franchise but it was not bad.
PerthChimon is a hard yes. I even dropped the drama altogether how bad the pairing was. I love them both individually but not as a couple.
I got a personal problem with TharnType so MewGulf are off the table for me anyway and I never seen the rest. That's my take.
(Tho Neo is such a good actor, only he lacks the spark. Maybe he's just unlucky on his chosen partners)

When looking at chemistry, which moments do ya'll focus on? Personally, I only take into consideration how well it flows btwn the actors when playing their characters in the series. Do others consider their off screen interactions too, like when doing events or fan service?
I don't consider their offscreen interactions because I think that shouldn't matter. for me, that's like being off the clock and out of your office and in that case I wouldn't bother mingling with the coworkers or supervisors but I'd interact with them very well when I'm on the clock since we have to work together and do the job well. I hope that made sense 😅

I only consider their characters in the series honestly, fan service and events are bonus/extra fun stuff but would never expect them to act the same way with each other off-screen as they do on-screen.

I think ur misunderstanding, obviously I’m aware that those are not “real people”/couples just that when you watch a show usually you get into it and start feeling for/with the character (ideally at least) and then sometimes I’ll get those weird “moments of clarity” where I remember they are are just two random people. And suddenly their shirtless accidentally crush into each other hug or whatever becomes awfully awkward…

I think GawinKrist has much better romantic chemistry than SingtoKrist, but SingtoKrist has much better adversarial chemistry, and I've felt that ever since SOTUS. I despised most of their romantic interactions and loved it when they were being horrible to each other and when they were in the...pre-dating truce phase. Those moments were the best.
As for couples with the least chemistry, I think OhmFluke has absolutely zero chemistry, and it's incredibly painful to watch. PerthChimon as well, they remind me of Mean and Plan, but I think even that pairing had more chemistry than PerthChimon. Honestly, I felt that Pepper and Papang had more chemistry in Dangerous Romance, which is not a good sign.
Mean and Plan is the pairing that came to my mind when OhmFluke came up. Mean is pretty and Plan is cute but Plan always looked uncomfortable in their intimate scenes and Mean looked bored/angry. OhmFluke seemed more like the character direction than anything, Fluke's character in UWMA was awkward and had a lot of baggage after all.
