Post Malone & Morgan Wallen’s “I Had Some Help” Breaks Spotify’s Country Streaming Record

“I Had Some Help” received almost 14 million first-day streams.

It was obviously going to be big, but it was unclear whether it would be record-breaking. Spotify just provided clarity: Post Malone’s “I Had Some Help (featuring Morgan Wallen)” has broken the platform’s record for most single-day streams by a country song.

The platform confirms that “I Had Some Help” achieved a mammoth 13,949,573 songs on Friday, May 10. The count represents the most ever achieved by a country song — and the 19th-highest peak ever achieved by a non-holiday song.

Especially impressive — and a testament to its organic resonance — is the fact that “I Had Some Help” achieved the record despite modest positioning on Spotify’s Today’s Top Hits. The song was only placed at #23 upon release; it will be interesting to see if the record-breaking start prompts Spotify’s curators to move it higher in the coming days.
