Hi Guys, I bought a second hand 12 Pro a few weeks back. But all of a sudden when I have the charger connected and move the phone around the connection comes and goes. If I leave it flat on the table there are no issues.

I did the usual check for lint, fluff and dirt in the port but all was clean as clean can be.

I checked the cable and that's fine as it works great on my other devices.

What else can ibe wrong? And is it fixable?

If it is the connector, I think it is connected directly into the circuit board. Make sure it is not the cable, try another to see.

Thanks jackbequickly. It's a very random thing. If I leave it on the side it will charge. But it's if I move it in a certain way it disconnect and reconnects. I'll try my wife's charger again tonight and see if I happens again.

Easy to replace the connector and it's on a separate flex cable. Will take a shop 20-30 minutes in terms of labor. The part itself is only $20.

I tried my wife's charger and all good so far. The odd thing is, I asked her to try my "dodgy" charger on her phone and it was fine 🤔

I would buy a new cable. Could have been you old cable happened to be in just the right position to charge your wife’s phone. New cables are not expensive.
Thanks mate. I realised I had a spare cable and when I went looking for it,found 3 others 😂

Thankfully they all work well with the 12 🙂
