Cameron Brink Used One Word to Describe Her Relationship With Steph Curry

Los Angeles Sparks rookie Cameron Brink is one of the biggest names in basketball right now — as is Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry.

But before Brink and Curry were household names, they were childhood friends.

Sonya Curry and Michelle Bain-Brink were college roommates at Virginia Tech. Dell Curry and Greg Brink were teammates on the Hokies' basketball team.

Steph's parents are Brink's godparents — and vice versa.

Cameron Brink.

During a recent appearance on Podcast P with Paul George, Brink described what it was like growing up with Curry.

The LA rookie used the word "joy" on several occasions.

"He's taught me to bring the joy to everything... You always see him smiling, laughing, joking. Life's just a joy when you're around him," Brink said.

"He's very much the same as he is now. He's probably one of the most consistent people I've ever known," she continued "... He's just a joy. He's always so fun to be around."

“It’s pretty awesome to watch [Cameron] grow up in the game,” Curry said back in 2021. “I just love watching her play, love everything about her. She’ll be playing for a very long time.”

Brink and the Sparks will take the court for their next regular-season matchup against the Washington Mystics on Tuesday night.
