Parents and students took over the street at Parkside Preparatory Academy Friday to rally for safety.
"He can't even walk down the block to the train station to come home feeling safe, or walk to the corner store with their friends before they get on the bus to go home cause they're in fear of this kid...following them or following through on his threat," said parent Arsene Delius.
Police told News 12 that three months ago, a student at MS2 slashed another student from Explorer Charter School in the face. Both are 13 years old.
Parents and students said the student is still on campus at MS2 and told News 12 he's a known bully who continues to threaten other students.
Parents and students say they decided to speak out on Friday afternoon because they said nothing is getting done.
News 12 reached out to school officials at MS2 about this incident and they told News 12 “bullying has absolutely no place in our schools or their communities, and we take every report of bullying extremely seriously."
Explorer Charter School told News 12 "They are enforcing safety protocols outlined by chancellor’s regulations and the DOE to ensure that all members of our community are kept safe."
Some of these students said a bully should be off of school property and they fear they could get assaulted next.
"Sometimes, I'll feel scared but like other times I'll try not to worry cause I try to get home in time for me being safe," said a student who wanted to remain anonymous.
"Safety is at risk and I'm not only scared for my safety but my friends also," said another student who wanted to remain anonymous.
The parents said they will do anything to keep their children safe and they won't stop fighting for justice.
