Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Executive Club Up to 20 ”bonus” tier points to hit BA Gold

Was told by BA Exec line that they would adjust my membership status to gold even if I closed collection year at 1490 points (10points lower). Collection year ended on 8th May and they’ve basically blanked me out by raising a new customer query anytime I call them. The call agents claim they have no ability to check on the original query. Crazy thing is I was literally stopped from booking a 10tp flight within the UK because an agent said I didn’t have to. Anyone experienced this and got a sense of turnaround time?

If it’s going to happen, I think it’s automatic

When my tier point year ended a few months back, I had taken a few partner flights the week before that hadn’t credited yet. I rang up to ask if the missing tier points could be chased, and was told “No you’ll have to wait but it doesn’t matter”. Year rolled over, got a welcome back email, and a few more days later the points I technically needed were credited zero’d out

Someone on flyertalk posted a link (which I now can’t find) for a bit of the BA website that showed your tier point year history. That had my renewal down as a different type this time

Otherwise, BA will normally backdate flights by up to 2 weeks, so get flying this weekend!
