    I want to conduct an experiment. The Beatles have arguably the greatest music catalogue of all time (with the exception of Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson). As someone with OCD and autism, I’ve always wanted to figure out the ultimate question that stumps us all; What are the Beatles’ popular songs?

    Seems like a simple question, but I want to know ALL of their popular songs, not just a Top 10 or whatever. So I decided to split it album by album (including singles recorded and released around the same time as each album) to figure it out. The second one here is With the Beatles. You can pick as many songs as you want, so I can cover all their popular songs and rule out the deep cuts.

    Here’s the previous results…
    Please Please Me:
    * I Saw Her Standing There
    * Please Please Me
    * Love Me Do
    * Twist and Shout

    The most famous songs from the list are "She Loves You" and "I Want To Hold Your Hand", though they weren't included on the album.

    "All My Loving" is for sure the most well known song from With The Beatles. "It Won't Be Long" is also popular among fans, but it's not so well known by casual listeners.

    Why are the four last tracks included in the list, when they are not on the With The Beatles album? I didn't vote for them although "She loves you" and "I want to hold your hand" are by far the two most well-known songs here. From the actual album I'd say "All my loving" followed by the cover versions "Roll over Beethoven" (the song itself is very well known) and "Please Mr Postman".

    To be honest, these first four albums are the least played here. For the later ones you can name me any song and I can sing some of it, but from this list there are some I have to dig a bit deeper for.

    I'd do a slight change to the title of these threads, because well known songs such as "From Me To You", "She Loves You" and "I Want To Hold Your Hand" may get a reduced amount of votes by those who make a literal read of the question.

    All - pretty much in 1964. In February -,March 1964 most top 40 rock stations (all AM back then of course) played almost all Beatles 24-7!(Beatle mania was a real thing) So-called deep tracks were well known. “This Boy” was quite popular in 1964 Just a rung below “She loves you”and “I want to hold your hand” but seems largely forgotten now. Now maybe none of the songs to the younger geeks coming up. Many probably don’t know even “She Loves You”. Of course there are a significant if small minority of young people who do know something about the Beatles and my hat is off to them as I wouldn’t have listened to Sinatra back then (And I really should say someone be like “Al Jolson “) as the Beatles aren’t their parents music it’s their Grandparents and sometimes Great Grandparents music. As an Austrian, I voted for „It Won‘t Be Long“, „All My Loving“, „Please Mister Postman“, „Roll Over Beethoven“, „She Loves You“ and „I Want To Hold Your Hand“ because they all were hits in the German speaking area.

    From the album itself I think All My loving and It Won't Be Long are probably the most well known. Apart from that I Want To Hold Your Hand and She Loves You are obvious choices. Since they pretty much started Beatlemania.

    As someone who is not a Beatles fanatic, the only titles I recognize are Please Mr Postman, Roll Over Beethoven & Money though I hadn't realised they'd recorded any of them.

    Caveat: I know She Loves You & I Want To Hold Your Hand but according to Wikipedia, the album finishes with the aforementioned Money.

    All My Loving, I Want To Hold Your Hand, and She Loves You seem like the obvious ones. While it's a Chuck Berry song, Roll Over Beethoven was chosen as well. I wouldn't be surprised if more people know the Beatles version than they do the original. I also picked I Wanna Be Your Man as it is a signature Ringo sung tune that was covered by a good number of times by other groups. It seemed to be a US garage favorite. And it doesn't hurt that it's in the Rolling Stones catalog.

    I picked:

    All My Loving
    She Loves You
    I Want to Hold Your Hand

    I didn't pick any of the extra songs in the PPM poll, but here two of the extras are the best-known songs.

    On a secondary level of recognition are "Roll Over Beethoven" and the Motown covers.

    Agreed. There were posts in the first thread saying they deliberately didn't vote for "From Me to You" because it wasn't on Please Please Me.

    She Loves You, I Want to Hold Your Hand, All My Loving were my picks. However, Please Mr. Postman and Money were considered. And I felt sorry for This Boy, which is my favourite (knowing that You Really Got a Hold on Me does not stand a chance).

    I think the answer depends strongly on which ears we are talking about. The universal music listener is more likely to know "She Loves You", "I Want To Hold Your Hand" and, perhaps, "All My Loving". Now a casual fan may also know "It Won't Be Long", "Please Mr. Postman", "Roll Over Beethoven", "I Wanna Be Your Man" and "Money". Of course, a dedicated fan knows all the Beatles songs, especially those from the core catalog.

    I voted for the seven biggest vote-getters, plus This Boy which was one behind the eighth.

    All My Loving
    I Wanna Be Your Man
    Money
    She Loves You
    I Want To Hold Your Hand

    For such a huge selling album, I don't think most of With The Beatles is relatively well known outside of Beatles completists nowadays. I went for I Wanna Be Your Man due to it being in the A Hard Day's Night film and the Rolling Stones cover.

    I voted several here - maybe it was just my local classic rock station, but I heard quite a few of these before picking up the album. In fact, it might have been the first of the '09 remasters I picked up piecemeal, because I was so familiar with it already. My favorite track, though (which I didn't vote for) was Please Mister Postman. Hadn't heard it before the album, and it's my #1 favorite from it! Totally blew me away! ;)
