Sorry, I Didn't Know is returning for a fifth series, making history as the longest running show on television from a production company led by Black creatives.

Rev. star Jimmy Akingbola will once again host, with actor Chizzy Akudolu and stand-up Eddie Kadi returning as team captains when the ITV Black history panel show records this summer to air later this year.

The show, which began in 2016 and is made by TriForce Productions, is also extending its training scheme for another trainee writer, which is open to apply for now, with the successful candidate joining a writing team that includes Viv May (Have I Got News For You) and Mark Boutros (8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown).

Produced by Delia Williams (The Big Narstie Show) for TriForce, the executive producers are Akingbola, Fraser Ayres and Minnie Ayres. It was commissioned by ITV head of entertainment commissioning Katie Rawcliffe and entertainment commissioner Gemma John-Lewis.
