"Over the years, girls cricket at Norwich school has undergone a remarkable transformation. Transitioning from rounders to cricket when I was in Form 3 was a pivotal moment, igniting excitement and enthusiasm among the girls, myself included. The transition not only marked a shift in sporting focus but also symbolized the beginning of a journey toward excellence in girls cricket.

While all my years of cricket at Norwich School have been thrilling, the most memorable of them all was the 2023 season; my Lower 6th year. The 2023 season stands as a testament to the progress and achievements of girls cricket at Norwich School. A significant milestone was reached when the team advanced to the quarter finals of the National Schools U18 Girls T20 Cup. This accomplishment not only showcased the skill and determination of the players but also highlighted the programme's ability to compete at a high level on the national stage.

The success of girls cricket at Norwich School wouldn’t be possible without the dedicated coaching staff, specifically: Mr. Sims, Mr. Catchpole, Mr. Bunting, and Mr. Wylie. Their commitment, expertise, and passion have played a crucial role in nurturing talent and fostering growth within the team. Under their guidance, girls cricket has flourished, attracting more participants and expanding its reach.

Looking ahead, the future of girls cricket at Norwich School appears promising, with a strong foundation in place and momentum building. There is no doubt that the program will continue to thrive and make further strides in the world of cricket. Despite the varying ages within the team, we have operated as a cohesive unit, keep it up girls!

My most recent achievement is being the first ever girl at Norwich School to receive their 20th cap. I am now on 22 and this is such a big reflection of how far girls cricket has come. More recently my sister, Tilly Hill, has reached 21 and India Fox 20. Having captained the team for two years, I am proud of the progress we have made and the accomplishments we have achieved together."

Livi Hill, U6
