NEW LONDON, Conn. – A total of seven members of the Connecticut College men's and women's tennis programs were named to the 2023-24 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Tennis Teams on Tuesday.

On the women's side, senior Courtney Banks (North Haven, Conn.), junior Caitlin Cass (Newcastle, Maine) and sophomores Lily Kerachsky (East Greenwich, R.I.) and Sana Bhat (New Delhi) earned the distinction for the first time in their careers. For the men's team, junior James Serhant III (Hadley, Mass.) was a repeat selection while sophomores Gavin Anderson (Avon, Conn.) and Sigmund Winiecki (Jaffrey, N.H.) were first-time honorees. The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.

To be an Academic All-District® honoree, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore at their institution, have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above, and have been in the lineup for 70% of the total matches played by the team that includes team scores.

The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in June.
