Gru and the Minions return in the newest trailer for Illumination’s Despicable Me 4. It introduces a new villain and debuts Mega Minions with superpowers. The trailer starts with the usual Minion chaos and then shows a fun scene in a grocery store where Lucy (voiced by Kristen Wiig) gets inventive with her shopping cart to help Gru's kids escape from the villain.

In the latest trailer, fans are introduced to Maxime Le Mal (voiced by Will Ferrell) and Valentina (voiced by Sofia Vergara). Maxime, much like Gru, is a villain armed with high-tech gadgets for his nefarious plans, though he struggles to keep them powered. It's up to Gru and his Minions to stop him, but regular Minions won't suffice this time. Check out the second trailer below:

Silas Ramsbottom (voiced by Steve Coogan) makes a return from retirement, enlisting a group of unsuspecting Minions to test a 'super serum' aimed at defeating Le Mal. He warns them it could either turn them into top agents or, worse, make them explode. Miraculously, they survive the experiment.

Instead, they come out of the pods with superpowers. These are the first-ever Mega Minions. One is super strong, another seems to be made of stone and munched off its pod, one can fly, one has super stretchy arms, and another one shoots laser beams from its eyes, all the way through the planet, splitting a satellite in half.
