I want to reverse the auto start stop button. So it is off by default. Then when I push the button on the centre console switch it turns the feature back on. So the switch will have an orange off light by default when the vehicle is first turned on.

There are no start stop eliminators available for the PX2 2017 Ford Rangers. And I don’t want to pull the plug from the battery. I still want the switch operational. I just want to reverse the switch. I have figured out how to do this. I just need to know which two wires are for the auto start stop on the switch. Then I simply add a toggle switch spliced into these two wires.

Can somebody please tell me what two colours I need. I thought about process of elimination but somebody may have a wiring diagram for the switch. A pin out with wire colours would be nice. Wires colours are

White/brown

White/green

Blue

Light purple

Purple/black

Brown x2

See photos.

Thank you

As said it is not a latching switch it is a momentary switch

For US Version Rangers:

White / Brown - Pin #4 - Switch output to FCIM

Brown - Pin #1 - Indicator Light - Switch input from FCIM, and this also triggers the message (Deactivated) on the IPC via the Can Bus Data Lines

Black / Blue - Pin #3 is the Ground for the Switch

If only it were that simple, you need to visualize the switch as that of a doorbell and the doorbell transformer holding (memory) that the button was pressed that (memory - hold) triggers a light in the switch and keeps that light on until you press the switch again or drop power off of the transformer.

When pressed you energize a microcontroller within the FCIM, that controller will keep the ASS deactivated until one of 2 actions, press the switch to reenable or drop power from it.
Power is dropped with the Ignition Cycle and resets the microcontroller on the PCB of the FCIM.

The Auto-Stop Eliminator works by using a programmed event at start-up to press the switch for you - Electrically. (Pulses the circuit via a quick - ground of the switch) Inline Adaptor between the switch and the FCIM.

Shame. It being non-American. I put a memory chip on mine. It wires into switch. I think when I bought it, it cost $85. US. Did a quick check of eBay they are running about $100. US.

I'll need to see more pics of the connector.
It is a different connector than the US Version and pinout, US Version has 2 separate connectors feeding the switch assemblies (2x) vs a single switch assembly and connector like what is pictured

Hey, thanks for this. Surly the American unit as the same as the Australian one. As long as the year is the same? Is yours a PX2 2017? Can you please send link.
Thank you very much

I have a American 2019 LX. Super Cab. Here is the part number on eBay https://www.ebay.com/itm/334613448049
Here in the United States started getting G5 rangers in 2019. I think we were Rangerless for about 7-8 years

Sorry, I was making a joke. There were already just so many pics of the connector.

is there a way maybe to turn it off with Forscan?,
That was one thing I wanted to look into, I ordered the cable this week cause I need to change CM on tire size as well, I just put 285/75 ridge graplers on it yesterday and got it realigned
the auto/start/stop really never bothers me because I always either have it in Tow mode or (S)port and that turns it off anyway, I dont know who can stand driving these trucks in (D)rive it wants to keep the RPMs low and that pisses me off around town ....

It’s funny, all this time, I thought the Auto Stop/Start on the NZ and Aussie Rangers all worked opposite to our North American Rangers - you know, like the whole counter clockwise toilet flushing thing.
