Despite the loss, Forest remain in 17th place, three points ahead of 18th-placed Luton Town. With a superior goal difference, they are on the brink of securing their top-flight status as the season nears its end.
Forest midfielder Callum Hudson-Odoi expressed relief at the team’s position, saying, “You never know in football. There’s one game left, but hopefully we’re safe now and can focus on Burnley next weekend.”
Chelsea, who have been on a winning streak in their recent Premier League games, will face Brighton & Hove Albion next and then conclude their season by hosting Bournemouth on May 19.
Pochettino emphasized the importance of the team’s fighting spirit, stating, “The best thing is the way that we always believe until the end. Football is about fighting. It was crucial for the team to end the season positively, setting a strong foundation for the upcoming campaign,” as he reflected on Chelsea’s performance to Sky Sports.
