Campania Young Festival: A Celebration of Student Creativity in Theater and Film

A theater and film review entirely set up and performed by students from 52 secondary schools in Campania. This is the original format of "Campania Young Festival. It's our turn!", the event scheduled on May 14 and 15 at the Royal Palace of Naples, curated by director Nadia Baldi, artistic vice-director of the Campania Festival Foundation. The appointment is part of "Orientalife-school orients for life", organized by the Regional School Office for Campania, the Department of School of the Campania Region, Sviluppo Lavoro Italia, Sviluppo Campania, Inail Regional Directorate Campania, Confindustria Campania, and the Campania Festival Foundation. The 2000 students, who participated in the four different workshop paths proposed in the past months by the Foundation directed by Ruggero Cappuccio, have been and will be protagonists of all the phases of an innovative project of live performance and cinematography. Starting from the choice of the theme to address and the writing of a script, through a path of training and creation, and arriving at the staging of short theatrical works and the projection of films made with cinematographic technique. The result of this path are the 19 theatrical outcomes and the 33 cinema and audiovisual ones that will make up the program of the Campania Young Festival. Pieces of a mosaic made of inspirations, vitality, and the discovery of a performative language that cannot do without study and knowledge. For this reason, as a corollary to the same event, students from all institutes will be involved in dedicated masterclasses that will be held by actors Francesco Panarella, one of the protagonists of the famous TV series "Mare fuori", and Francesco Di Leva, winner of the David di Donatello 2023 for his role in the film "Nostalgia" by Mario Martone. It starts at 10 on May 14, with a real happening, capable of returning the sense of celebration and being together creatively, while at 13:30 the Campania Young Festival will come alive with the first of the 53 performances open to the public that will animate two days full of suggestions. Where art will reflect in the future and the future in art. In a total young team game, capable of intercepting the present and anticipating the world to come.
