ComicLink Comments:
This November, 1980 issue kicked off the New Teen Titans series that took the comics world by storm in the early 1980s. The offered example has been graded Near Mint 9.4 by CGC. Adding to its desirability, it has also retained newsstand-fresh White Pages.

This key issue features the very first appearance of the New Teen Titans in their own title! The New Teen Titans became DC's most popular franchise for several years. On March 15, 2024 DC Studios announced that a big budget live-action Teen Titans movie has been added to the initial roster of films coming under new studio head James Gunn!

The Titans have had great success being adapted to other media over the past two decades. An animated version premiered in 2003 and became one of the most popular cartoons of its era and even led to a theatrical release in 2018, Teen Titans Go! To the Movies. A live-action streaming series, Titans made its debut in 2018 and was among the higher quality superhero series of its era. The series ran for four seasons, which are available to view on the Max streaming app.

When the original Teen Titans team was revived in 1980 as the New Teen Titans, the roster was expanded to add Beast Boy from the Doom Patrol, now calling himself Changeling. In addition, three new characters were introduced and added, Cyborg, Starfire and Raven. This version of the team, illustrated by the legendary George Perez and written by Marv Wolfman, became the first DC success of the Direct Sale/Comic Store era. Over the decades, many other young heroes would become Titans and the franchise has proved to me one of the most durable in the industry. In current DC continuity, the Justice League disbanded in 2022 and the Titans, under the leadership of former Robin and current Nightwing Dick Grayson, have stepped up to become the DC Universe's most prominent team.
