The brilliant directing and of Tom Tykwer and the Wachowskis as well as their adaptation of David Mitchell’s novel shines through this sweeping epic of a film. It has splendid acting, cinematography, set and costume design, makeup, music, special effects, script, story, world building, sound design, plot, and everything. It spans through a multitude of genres, it has every genre you can imagine. Drama, comedy, action, thriller, sci-fi, horror, romance, mystery, epic, war adventure, etc. The film is extremely complex and rewarding. There is a great ensemble cast with Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Jim Broadbent, Jim Sturgess, Doona Bae, and Ben Whishaw. Everything about this movie is fantastic, and if you still haven’t seen it, then you are living in the deepest cave in the world. It also contains lots of deep and political messages.
