Even though Grand Theft Auto 6's release isn't until sometime next year, fans just can't help themselves by delving into every detail possible from the trailer including rumors and theories, especially about the Bonnie and Clyde-inspired crime couple.

In the painstaking wait for Rockstar to put GTA players out of their misery by dropping another trailer that goes into the narrative and the characters much more, a new theory has emerged that Jason's backstory could be just as complex as Lucia's and also give a good reason about how they met in the first place.

GTA 6's Artwork Could Hold Secrets About Jason

Over on Twitter/X, GTA enthusiast GameRoll has seemingly stumbled upon a clue from Grand Theft Auto 6's artwork that would appear to suggest that Jason, Lucia's partner in crime, could be wearing shoes that are usually issued to American inmates in federal prisons. Sure enough, under Roll's tweet, they have placed a side-by-side image of Jason's slippers and an actual pair that would be found on the feet of conflicts.

Although Lucia's crime is unknown, she was incarcerated in the State of Leonida in the mid-2020s. If it's revealed that Jason was also imprisoned and given that he is still wearing the slippers, this could possibly indicate that Lucia broke him out of jail after the pair met while serving time together, forming an unbreakable bond. Of course, this is just a theory but a pretty decent one on the scale of things. Jason could also simply be wearing a pair of Vans as they are quite similar to prison shoes, but don't tell Vans that.

A lot of the comments under Roll's tweet are in agreement that Jason could have been in prison with Lucia, giving a beautiful tie-in to the couple's narrative, but equally, others have laughed off the suggestion by saying they are just shoes and have nothing to do with prison in the slightest. Here's hoping we can start putting these theories to bed soon and Rockstar will serve up a juicy trailer highlighting the pair's past as well as other exciting game elements.
