Birmingham City given key transfer window dates ahead of summer rebuild

The transfer window will officially open in the middle of June and close at the end of August.

The EFL have confirmed the start and end of the summer transfer window, where Birmingham City will be extremely busy following relegation from the Championship. Blues will start next season in League One for the first time in three decades and a new squad needs to be built.

Blues will be able to register players from June 14 and the window closes on Friday, August 30 at 11pm. Summer windows in recent years have run into September but that will not be the case in 2024.

The winter transfer window will, however, run into February. Blues will be allowed to sign players from January 1 through to 11pm on Monday, February 3 in 2025.

Decisions need to be confirmed on the futures of John Ruddy, Neil Etheridge, Marc Roberts, Gary Gardner, Ivan Sunjic, Keshi Anderson, Lukas Jutkiewicz and Scott Hogan. Blues have already lost loanees Jay Stansfield, Cody Drameh, Emanuel Aiwu, Andre Dozzell and Oliver Burke.
