If you haven’t heard of Eva Vlaardingerbroek before, well, you have now. Perhaps you have previously seen her on The Mark Steyn Show. Given her name (the second one), you’ve probably guessed that she is Dutch.
She has just scored somewhere approaching 50 million views of a speech she has delivered in Budapest, my possible future home. It was at that city’s CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference). Yes, 50 million. Thanks to Elon Musk’s takeover of the former Twitter, readers can see this extraordinary speech, but not on YouTube. The Google-owned platform took down the clip after declaring it “hate speech”.
A written version of the speech can be found here. Canadian blogger Lauren Southern thinks that this speech, which goes for a mere twelve minutes and forty seconds, will “change the internet”. No wonder the progressive elites want to shut Eva down.
The subject of her speech was also about change — the big change that’s coming to the West. Well, in a sense it has already arrived. This is the massive movement of people from what we used to call the Third World to what we used to call the First. Eva reveals just how much European cities have become African and Middle Eastern enclaves. Her numbers shouldn’t come as a surprise, for in Australia one third of us were born overseas, and a half of us have one or both parents born overseas. She names European cities and lays out the proportion of new arrivals in each, with Brussels taking the prize with its population now composed of some 70 per cent migrants. As Eva notes, whites – for want of a better term – are in the minority already in these places. It is the same right across Western Europe, including her native Netherlands.
No one can possibly dispute the size and shape of the change. Nor that the acceptance of huge numbers of migrants who are not from cultures anything akin to the West, nor with values anything like our own, is occurring as a result of deliberate policy. Nor that this policy is new. What is disputed by the progressives is the attributed motive for the policy. Eva, Lauren Southern and Holland’s Geert Wilders – who also spoke at the same CPAC – and I believe that the reason for the new policy is to replace the Neanderthal nativists who have previously inhabited our countries with a new lot. Unsurprisingly, a message from Wikipedia springs from the page under Lauren Southern’s podcast:

The attempts at “curating the public mind” by controligarch, “fact-checking” platform entities really are farcical. Sadly, they are also sinister and effective. Farcical and sinister in equal measure.
What the coming wave of mass migration signals, more than anything else, is the greatest instance of hyper-colonialism in human history. And it will only get bigger. Geert Wilders pointed out that Africa’s population is projected to grow fourfold by 2100, from a current 1.4 billion to around 5 billion. That is a lot of Africans. And apparently about a third of the current 1.4 billion want to move! To where? Guess.
It cannot be denied that what is occurring now is Colonialism 101. Far more invasive, too. Often, the British colonials either left the existing occupants to themselves, often worked with them, made treaties with their leaders (in New Zealand), and took their children into welfare if and when it was requested, only later to be accused of generational theft. (Hat tip to Keith Windschuttle, for all his mighty works in this area). The new lot often threaten us, take over whole suburbs that become no-go areas – a form of apartheid – and inflate the crime rate (as they are doing in Europe). They drive up unemployment and drive down wages. They add to the burden of welfare, almost from the moment they arrive. They diminish the speaking of English, which many of them do not speak and do not know. They bring old-world enmities and hatreds to our shores, as a growing number of university campuses now seedily attest.
Astonishingly, those among the progressive class, who say they hate colonialism more than just about anything else, absolutely love the nouveau colonialism currently under way.
There is another view, more nuanced, which doesn’t mind good colonialism. (And, holding this view, I speak as the great, great grandson of one who was transported to Australia by the British authorities and who didn’t have any say in the matter). It favours the colonialism of the Enlightenment and of the Industrial Revolution, the colonialism of Jesus Christ – “go and teach all nations” – the colonialism of running water and internal plumbing, the colonialism of fossil fuels, the colonialism of wealth creation and wealth transfer, the colonialism of social mobility and the colonialism of Bach and Mozart. The colonialism of giving to the people a free(ish) economy and the opportunities for productive labour and entrepreneurship.
This alternate view of history hates bad colonialism. The colonialism of multi-mono-culture, of enclaves of hate, of the new world order that marries neo-liberalism with neo-Marxism. The colonialism of mass invasion by hordes of people and not just settlement by a governing class, as occurred with the Brits and the other Europeans. The colonialism of people who hate us before they get here.
I suppose progressives might say the same thing, only with a very different view of what counts as good and bad colonialism. They prefer what I call bad colonialism. Like many of our new arrivals, the globalist elites hate us and our values. They don’t hate “colonialism”, only our former brand of colonialism. As Eva says, the elites have declared war on us and wish to replace us, which is exactly what they are doing. Replacement “theory” has become replacement “reality”. And we are inviting them in. Well, our governments are, on our behalf. For our own good, they say, and perhaps even believe it.
It isn’t a coincidence that Eva’s speech came at a time of escalating violence and crime in Western countries, much of it perpetrated by new migrant arrivals. As she says:
Our new reality in Europe consists of frequent rapes, stabbings, killings, murders, shootings, and even beheadings. But let me be clear about one thing: This did not use to happen before. This is a newly imported problem.’
No, it didn’t use to happen. Eva quotes the late Samuel P Huntington, who, nearing the close of the twentieth century, wrote a provocative and perceptive book called The Clash of Civilisations. Helpfully, the Washington Post published the first chapter. I doubt of the WAPO would be publishing this today. The title gives away the main argument. The clashes of the future will not mainly be between nations or social classes but between cultures. They will not be between the rich and the poor. They will be between peoples belonging to different cultural entities. Tribal wars and ethnic conflicts will occur within civilizations.
Well, we still have the old wars (Ukraine) but we also have civilizational wars, as we now see in the Middle East (ignoring the arrant b.s about Gaza and genocide repeated by useful idiot students and leftists who cannot be expected to know better).
Eva’s debt to Huntington is substantial and acknowledged. She has other debts, of which she herself may or may not be aware. Enoch Powell comes readily to mind. Eva didn’t mention his “rivers of blood” speech, but she might well have. James Burnham’s tome Suicide of the West comes to mind. His bete noir at the time of writing was Soviet communism, but his sentiments travel easily to today. Then we have Bruce Bawer’s 2006 While Europe Slept and Christopher Caldwell’s 2009 masterful Reflections on the Revolution in Europe. Eva has it in for Brussels, the proverbial evil empire, and the gameplan is, indeed, revolutionary, as per Caldwell.
Huntington’s anticipated big clash was with Islam. Written, of course, well before 9/11. In a later work, his last, Who Are We: The Challenges of America’s National Identity, Huntington noted the rise of the globalists, rich American businessmen with a sense of global citizenship and little regard for their homeland. So, he nailed two of the four current, existential threats to Western virtues and values, Islam and globalists, even though he didn’t yet fully understand what mischief the globalists would get up to. The other two threats, Chinese economic imperialism and destructive, home-grown Western progressivism, are just as real, and the four, working in some sort of loose alliance, form a daunting barrier to a Western future worth knowing and valuing. A Hobbesian dystopia which it is our dubious privilege to be witnessing in, as they say, “real time”. An existence not so far from the world described by the late Cormac McCarthy in his exquisitely brutal novels about the lawless, violent badlands of the American-Mexican border country. For Huntington, two out of four isn’t bad. No one else saw the emergence of the big four. (Coincidentally, the title of one of Agatha Christie’s spy-type novels).
Where there is an action there is an equal and opposite reaction, as Isaac Newton observed. Not all of us are accepting the coming colonialism; the natives appear to be restless. Lauren Southern suggests that conversations and topics about culture not allowed to be discussed a decade ago are now taking place in the mainstream. More than this, some of them are taking to the proverbial online streets. In the video below, protesters can be seen waving banners saying “we want our country back”. Perhaps some of them will vote for Laurence Fox’s Reclaim Party. I doubt many of the protesters have heard of Bruce Bawer or Chrisopher Caldwell or James Burnham, but that matters not. They feel betrayal in their guts.
Yes, the natives are restless, and whatever they might think about the colonialism we all had to have – because colonialism is an embedded human characteristic – they don’t think much of the new colonialism. As one commenter noted below the linked clip:

Sadly, not in England’s capital, where they just re-elected the truly appalling Sadiq Khan, the absolute poster boy for the new world order. It ain’t called Londonistan for nothing with, as Eva noted, 54 per cent of Londoners now foreign-born. Replacement works!

I have followed Eva Vlaardingerbroek for some time on Mark Steyn and I am something of a fan.
However, I do not accept that the elites (so described) are looking to replace white Europeans, white Australians etc as a policy matter.
I think that their reasons for encouraging immigration are less pernicious – they feel that white people in Europe, the Americas and in Oceania have had a good run and that it would be decent and proper to extend that good fortune to others.
I accept that it is wrong-headed and short-sighted and, moreover, I do not doubt that many of the elites are hostile to the Judaeo-Christian ethos. However, I doubt that they are actively trying to eradicate their own children.

I am sure you really believe what you write, but the evidence is against you. The biggest problem is that people don’t want to be seen as racist so they don’t say or write what really believe. In this manner the problem becomes exponential and the truth is lost in the mealy mouthed placating of the weak and left wing. It is not racist to not want to be stabbed, raped,terrorised or be forced to watch your country being given away by the stupid policies of the government. Wake up everyone. I want to live in a majority white Christian country. Exactly. Is it too much to ask to live in a civilised country, not devoid of crime, but devoid of endemic ethno crime ? It is going to get much worse, if anyone is paying attention to news casts that mostly do their best to hide the identity and motive for such malevolence.
The elites aren’t looking to replace white Europeans or Westerners in general but Muslims are. And of course there’s a jihad for that. Being replaced as a population and culture by others not interested in our destructive values and sentiments is a dire consequence gathering momentum.

BACKGROUND
It is charged that, on or about 2023, you did commit treason against the State when you demonstrated your fealty by abasing yourself to the current thug in charge of China, thus bringing disrespect against Australia. This demonstration of cowardice brings pause to the Full Bench sitting in judgement of you, when we remember the blindly historic speech at a turning point in human history at the end of the last century, when Neville Chamberlain held aloft a piece of paper and triumphantly declared, “Peace in our time”. That did not end well.
You are also charged that, on or about May 2024, you directed your Foreign Minister to declare that Australia will support the bid by the terrorist organization called Hamas, to become a member of the United Nations as a nation in its own right. It is true and correct in all aspects that this bid is being made by and only for Hamas, and will give the terrorist organization a validated seat in the UN from where it will use its influence to further kill and maim its enemies, with the full support of that United Nations. With your venal and willfull stupidity you have reflected great disgrace upon your nation.
FINDINGS
Anthony Albanese, rise before the judgement of the court. You have unilaterally been found guilty on all counts. The evidence is there for all to see, and it is on the public record. It has neither been redacted nor admitted to. Your arrogance knows no bounds.
SENTENCE
You are hereby sentenced to be stripped of your commission and sacked on the spot. All benefits due to you on your departure are hereby cancelled. You may retain your passport, as it will be required when you are deported. Get out of our fair country, immediately. Once gone, your Australian passport will be cancelled.
The leaders of the Hamas group of terrorists have indicated that they will welcome you with open arms as a fellow traveller in their Communist dominated organization of filth and pond scum. You will, of course, be required to show your fealty to your new masters, an evolution in which you have much experience. This fealty will, by decree of the Commissars in charge of the scum you support, will require you to take up your AK-47 and your Keffiyeh in support of their murderous, vicious and discriminatory abhorrent creed. What a courageous, eloquent, informed and pricise assessment from an inspirational true leader
I’m just a simple man, and I see things simply… so, on that level, I will happily volunteer to breed with Eva Vlaardingerbroek in order to maintain, or even increase, the number of my extended tribe of Nordic/Germanic peoples. That appears to be a natural course to follow, and it is natural that other tribes follow the same biological imperative, and so necessarily we must compete for territory and resources, a la the philosophies of Malthus and Darwin.
This train of thought leads us to the conservative’s dilemma; the very formula of free-enterprise, free trade, global markets, diversity in immigration, economic growth, freedom of speech, etc, ultimately must lead to the destruction of the European people, as they have been known for thousands of years.
I was born a British Subject, during the reign of King George VI, in one of those countries that were coloured pink on the world map on our kitchen wall. My mother still believed in that world where the sun never set on the British Empire. Imbued as I was with pride of my Anglo-Celtic ancestry and culture, I looked upon Britain as the “Mother Country”. Our Dominion Flag was the British Red Ensign; Union Jack in the corner (canton) and on the red field a coat of arms depicting the symbols of England, Scotland, Ireland and France, being the founding nations, as well as maple leaves. Our Provincial Flag of British Columbia also displayed the Union Jack. I was always filled with pride when singing “God Save the Queen”, which was the anthem of our Dominion. Our first history lesson in school started with the “Angles, Saxons and Jutes”, followed by the Normans.
Meanwhile in other pink coloured lands of the crumbling Empire, located in south eastern Africa, there were other British Subjects born; in particular people of a Punjabi/Hindu/Indian heritage and culture, who later moved to Britain, and their son, Rishi Sunak, is now the current Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Britain and Northern Ireland! As Sunak described himself in a 2015 interview with Business Standard,

However, myself, who’s religious and cultural heritage, to say nothing about the genetic link, is actually British, was faced with the situation of standing before the Customs and Immigration counter at Luton, being interrogated by a Mr Singh and his colleague Ms Mugabe (my fictitious names for them), as to my fitness to be allowed a short-stay tourist visa! Whilst to my right, I observed people in their hundreds walking straight through Immigration. They were a people largely of African, Indian Sub-Continental and Middle-Eastern appearance, with their distinctive turbans, hijabs, chadors, niqabs, burkas and other clothing of their ethnicity and cultural heritage; THOSE people were British, including the Israeli who sat next to me on the flight!
If you have a Canadian passport, or indeed an Australian passport, I don’t know why you needed a tourist visa (neither Canadians nor Australians have ever needed a tourist visa to enter the UK), nor indeed why you were held up. With either of those passports, you can use the e-gates at London airports to enter as a tourist. The people you saw walking through were either in the same category or were UK citizens. What is your point? That people who are not ethnically Anglo-Celtic are ineligible to be British citizens?
They are British citizens but most of them are not truly British. They can’t be and increasingly they don’t want to be as Britishness has lost its lustre. This is the endgame of anti-White multiculturalism, the chosen weapon, along with atomising liberal individualism, of the apex ruling elite against its subjects. What are the criteria for being able to be “truly British”?
I assume you would say that the current PM, born in Britain, a self-made man with up-from-nothing immigrant parents of Punjabi descent, is incapable of being British?
Yourself – I’m assuming, perhaps wrongly, of German descent and thus not Anglo-Celtic – would you be capable of being British, or Australian for that matter?
Becoming Australian is a process which effectively ceased when the imperative of growing up here changed from fitting into the Anglo-Celtic Australian culture to tolerating then being forced to celebrate a myriad of disparate cultures and denigrating the old Australian society. New arrivals, to the extent that they don’t rebel.against this disgusting state of affairs which very few seem to, are not real Australians. Germans who arrived after the multiculturalism disaster probably aren’t real Australians although their children might be if they married into an older Australian family.

The question of Sunak being British is complicated by 100 years of British rule in Punjab ending twenty years before he was born. His parents were presumably subjects of the British crown in their youth. Nevertheless in the British Isles he has a foreign religion, distinctly alien racial characteristics and his own longstanding alien culture. He is not English, Scottish, Welsh or Irish nor any mix thereof. He is a Goldman-Sachs alumnus, a cosmopolitan and a loyal servant of Zion so perhaps he could have Bibi’s job. Would that be acceptable to Israelis?
Well, you’ll have to explain to me why Rishi Sunak, UK-born, head boy at Winchester, alumnus of Oxford (and Stanford), is not and can never be a Briton, while you – I suspect, but please correct me if I’m wrong – either German-born or the descendant of German immigrants, are an Australian?
His parents were both born in East Africa but are everywhere appropriately described as Punjabi. Sunak met and married an Indian woman whilst in America. He is an ex-patriate Punjabi who holds British citizenship and is the massively unpopular prime minister of what was formerly a serious country. He is not and cannot ever be a Briton. If I were born in Germany then I would not be fully German unless both my parents had been. If they were Australian I would have been an Australian who happened to be born in Germany. It’s not complicated.

Sorry, but this is nonsense of a high order. Let’s say you were born in Australia in the 20th c. of Irish or British immigrants. On your argument, you could not be fully Australian, because your parents weren’t. Therefore you could not beget Australians, because you yourself were not an Australian. But that is the trajectory of everyone in the land, aborigines aside perhaps, because we are all descended from immigrants.
Many of us are descended from settlers, convicts, pioneers and frontiersmen not immigrants to an already long-civilized land. We are Australians, the original Australians, there having never been an Australia prior to our arrival. Those people who have come later, who share our ancestry have found it far less difficult to assimilate to our society than others but until recently even they were made acutely aware of their differences from us until they fitted in. In the last fifty years the process of Australianisation has become progressively less arduous and commensurately less meaningful. Without a proud, positive, historically conscious public life the opportunity and the incentive for new-comers to feel part of the old Australian story is minimal. Most are happy to wash their hands of all that ‘racism’ and embrace the happy-clappy multicultural lies of the economic zone which now bears the name of a once proud nation.

You are (predictably) wilfully misunderstanding me.
You said – quite clearly – that someone born in Germany would not be “fully German” unless both his parents were. I put to you the proposition that, on that logic, a person born in Australia to two immigrants from, say, Britain or Ireland could not be fully Australian because his parents weren’t. And therefore, that Australian-born person could not beget Australian children. I was inviting you to explain that absurd position, or at least say where you draw the line: at what point do successive generations born in Germany become “fully german”, to use your example, or “fully Australian” to use mine; at what point do those Australian-born descendants of the Irish or British immigrants become “fully Australian”? At the second or third generation? If so, why would the position not be the same in Germany?
At the moment you don’t seem to have an answer, hence your blustering and deliberate obfuscation. I didn’t say we are a “nation of immigrants”. I said we are all *descended* from immigrants, which is why your proposition that the offspring of foreign-born parents can never be “fully Australian” is so absurd.

From my observation, the ruling elite want to see the destruction of Christianity and our culture. They haven’t realised that they will be next when the barbarians rule. The rainbow flag will be trampled and all tolerance crushed.
Christian Lebanese have been in SA as long as there has been a colony here. They have completely assimilated with the locals to the point that many Lebanese names are good old SA names, just like many old German names. My dentist (female) is Lebanese Christian. If you did a DNA test on a Christian Lebanese and a Muslim from Lebanon you could be hard pressed to find any difference between the two, but that’s where it ends. Draw your own conclusions about Islam.

Still, it goes to show what I have long maintained; a principle extending right down through the Animal Kingdom: IF YOU CAN’T DEFEND IT, YOU DON’T OWN IT.
There is no book up there in the sky which says that the Chinese own China, the Irish own Ireland, the Scots own Scotland, the Bengalis own Bengal, and so on. Many peoples, from different parts of the world have learned that the hard way.

It is very easy to use terms (neo-liberalism, neo-Marxism) without sourcing, referencing or defining them – and then going on to dismiss them. But The White Man’s Burden and such PR stunts were a beat-up to cover an explain way the real reason for colonialism: mainly land, resources and cheap labour. Thus, the continuum between the Opium Wars of the 1840s and the Chinese Communist revolution of 1949.

We can only proceed globally if we agree that all peoples of all races (however distinguished from each other) are equal. Nazism and fascism are where denial of that leads. But it does not follow at all that all cultures are equal too. There is no better proof of this than the case of India, with East and West Pakistan to its either side. It is like unto nothing so much as a controlled experiment on the effect of Islam on a people of the same ethnicity. Multicultural and polytheistic India is an economic powerhouse, while Pakistan is a total economic basket-case, and on every numerical indicator and coefficient.

India is a multiracial society with a rigid hierarchical caste system which maintains racial purity in the upper echelons. I could equally argue that this has facilitated the highly enterprising upper classes exploiting the incredibly cheap labour of the lower classes to turn India and Bengal into the sweat shops of the world. A somewhat similar phenomenon is evident in our large cities with the marginal jobs: washing cars , riding delivery bikes and no doubt others less visible dominated by these same lower caste sub-continentals.
