Hello!

I wasn't able to secure tickets for two to Alhambra before they were sold out for the day we are visiting. I know some tickets for the same day get released at 12 AM local time in Spain, and the past few days I would go on Alhambra's official website at 12 AM local time just to see how that works. I noticed the website would crash and the few tickets available would immediately get sold out within minutes after 12 AM.

I read there were people that started waiting in line outside of the ticket office at 3 AM local time, 5 full hours before Alhambra was open! But that happened in 2018, and I am not sure if purchasing the ticket for the day in person is still an option?

We are not really interested in a guided tour and would like to visit Alhambra at our own pace. Can anyone who recently visited Alhambra and got their tickets last minutes please share your experience with me? Does Alhambra still allocate tickets daily to local hotels for hotel guests?
