Lesbian or not

Would a girl still be a lesbian if she started dating a trans woman who is male-appearing and has a penis?

I’m confused bc when you’re initially attracted to someone you don’t know what gender they identify as, unless they tell you. So if a lesbian were to be attracted to another woman who is like 6 foot, has short hair, a beard and wears male-like clothing would she still be a lesbian? (If she didn’t know )

Or another scenario.. if a straight man fell in love with a trans man who had a feminine look, female reproductive organs, breasts and long hair? Would he still be straight based on the stereotypical gender he’s attracted to, or would the gender identity of his partner change what his sexuality is?

Hi! I would say that as long as the person who you are dating identifies as the same gender as you, and you are ONLY attracted to your gender, then I would say you are lesbian or gay. Some lesbians may like masculine women and some gays may like feminine men, but honestly it doesn't matter how someone looks like, just depends on their gender. But for example, if you identify as female, and you find yourself liking anyone who looks feminine but they aren't necessary a female, that could just be your TYPE and you could be bisexual, pan, etc. BUT your type would be people who are feminine. Another thing, if you are a lesbian, but you only like females with female parts, then I'm not particularly sure, but it is a topic that I have heard about. But what I'm overall saying is that if you look feminine and you identify as a man, and the other way round, and someone is attracted to you, IT ALL DEPENDS ON YOUR GENDER because a man could be attracted to a feminine female AS WELL AS a feminine male, and that could just be the man's type, but they wouldn't necessarily be straight as the feminine male STILL identifies as a male, and so on. I hope this helps
If there is a hole and a pole, then it's straight, no matter how you try to decorate it.
