Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is a figure of constant public fascination and speculation. From his posturing in the wrestling ring to his prolific output as an actor and his many business ventures, Johnson is practically always giving fans something new to talk about.

Most recently, Johnson took to Instagram to post a new video with wife Lauren Hashian. Given the Rock's public presence and prominent placement within American culture, it seems strange that the public at large knows relatively little about his wife. It appears Johnson felt the same way, and he chose a special occasion on which to highlight her specifically.

A message that leaves fans stunned

The Rock chose Mother's Day on Sunday as the perfect date to honor Hashian, whom he married in 2019 after more than a decade of dating. In a candid reel uploaded to Instagram, the couple performs a rendition of R&B singer Sam Cooke's 1960s hit "Bring It on Home to Me," which puts Hashian's vocal ability on full display.

The Rock's caption on Instagram makes it obvious just how much he treasures Hashian, about whom he says "she is blessed from the heavens above with kindness, empathy, compassion, beauty and an abundance of musical talents." He also thanks her for being "the greatest mama in the world to our babies," in reference to their daughters Jasmine and Tiana.

The video drew an abundance of likes and comments on social media, especially on Instagram. While some fans called for Johnson to address the ongoing war in Gaza, others also wished Hashian a happy Mother's Day and asked for the Rock to make more content with his wife.

Given the reception to this video, fans will be waiting eagerly to see whether the Rock's wife of nearly five years continues to feature on his social media profiles.
