Summary

  • Emily Balch's theory on why Chloe Brown lied about a meetup sheds light on their ongoing feud.
  • Married At First Sight season 17 was filled with drama between the women, especially Emily and Chloe.
  • Despite the season ending, Emily and Chloe's feud seems far from over as tensions continue to linger.

Married At First Sight season 17 star Emily Balch revealed her theory of why Chloe Brown lied about a meetup. Married At First Sight season 17 could be considered one of the messiest seasons ever, with Emily portrayed as the villain and Chloe as the prey. Chloe came into the season late with her new husband, Michael Shiakallis, and getting to know the ladies became a hassle. The MAFS season 17 women had already formed a bond, leaving Chloe as an outsider. This caused tension and led to an even larger rift between Chloe and the other women.

Emily addressed her ongoing feud with Chloe Brown in a recent Instagram post to debunk supposed lies.

In a recent Instagram post from Emily, she shared a photo of herself, Chloe, and Clare Kerr hanging out together back in October 2023 at a farm sanctuary.

The photo and caption seemed to debunk a statement Chloe made in the most recent Married At First Sight segment where she stated she hadn't spoken to any of the women and didn't see them stepping foot in a pig pen. Emily went on to answer a comment from a fan, @amazingme09, revealing why she thinks Chloe lied about them hanging out. Emily said, "My hypothesis is that being friends with us no longer served her or her image she wanted portrayed by viewers & instead - she went and became 'friends' with the guys."

As the current season of Married At First Sight has ended, it would seem as though the cast would have moved on from the feuds and drama. However, that doesn't seem to be the case with Emily and Chloe. Married At First Sight season 17 was a season of men versus women, except for Chloe. After Chloe deemed Emily a "mean girl" during the season, the feud between the two women seemed to grow from there. Chloe found herself on the outside with the rest of the ladies, which spilled over into the reunion with the women all wearing pink in solidarity with each other, minus Chloe. This is something that doesn't seem to be changing anytime soon.

As for moving on from her feud with Chloe, Emily has expressed that she has moved on through her Instagram. She stated in her most recent post that she andthe other "ladies in pink" have been to 10 countries collectively and have been happily dating great men. She further expressed that while they are moving on, "the two most inauthentic people in the cast are STILL posting MAFS related content and doing IG lives for clout."
