If you could get any (not coin related) item in the world right now, what would it be?

Smart. Just don't tell the IRS anything.

Exactly.

Make sure to do it in Germany, where you don't have to pay a tax for winning! Unless you do something with the money, but that's another story.

The problem with that is that such gifts normally come with strings attached (& the taxman will be all over you).

& then the rest of your family hates you (& the taxman takes their slice of the pie).

I think the lotto ticket idea is great & we don't get taxed in Canada either (for our Lotto Max or 6/49 winnings, not other countries like the US state Powerballs) but you have to learn about off-shore investing if you don't want the tax stiffs after your investments.

I think I'd like an anti-aging pill (actually just the magic formula for one & then I could sell it for big $). 😀

“any item in the world” I don't believe world peace is available for you to have.

What a coincidence! Apparently I have a long lost uncle in Nigeria who has left me a fortune. I've just had an email about it.

Not always from Nigeria or Ethiopia.  Email I got a little while ago:

I am Lieutenant Colonel Abrams Marsh, currently serving in the U.S Army Special Operations Surf-Storm (USASOSS),7th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Air Force Base - Syrian. I am reaching out to you in desperate need of your urgent assistance.

During our recent Special Operation Surf-Storm (SOSS) in the war-torn axis of Hezbollah Syria, my team and I stumbled upon two trunk boxes containing a substantial amount of cash worth ($40,000,000) and several gold bars. These funds are surplus from various contracts executed by my department during the supply of Military Hardware (MH).

Considering the sensitive nature of our mission and the volatility of the region, I am seeking a trustworthy individual who can assist me in securing these valuables until my return from deployment, which is expected to be in the middle of next year. I am willing to offer you 40% of the total value as a token of appreciation for your assistance.

Oh, cool. I’ve never seen one that’s not Ethiopian or Nigerian

Hi colleague.  You know I'm a magical grandfather.  And I could fulfill your wishes.  But I don't write checks - I can give a straight bill.

Good nephew - I am your forgotten aunt - cut out the photo of the banknote and put it in your collection.

Here the forgotten uncle from Nigeria -I sent you an email and you don't respond.  So there you have it - crop the picture nicely so you can show your friends what you have in Moravia in the Moravian Sahara (as the sand is called here) saved by a Nigerian.

And fellow collectors: If there is still someone on the website who also wants to send an heirloom in this form - a PDF image - I will send it to them.  It's a joy to have so much money.

Ivan💰💰💰😁😁😁

I propose colleagues that we vote that we coin collectors and the preservation and research of numismatics do a very worthwhile job for society.  That's why I think we should be properly rewarded.

And because a double hamburger is its price in all countries of the world financially for the same amount.  Also my friend in Kolkata Sir.  Arviner does the same job of preserving coins.  so everyone the same - everyone the same income.  Who will pay for it?  UN - UNESCO - and private investment companies.  Without us, there would be no money.

For all numismatists and banknote collectors - mentioned income for monthly work done.

World peace and an end to all wars.

This would also mean all the causes such as false religions, racism, greed and stupidity.

100%, i agree!  it would be best not just that, but everyone living fairly, i. e., no homeless people, and no refugees.

Also, an end to all killing,  an all dictatorship.

Yvon, 2 things

1. I did not read every post

2. There is no law against having the same opinion. Also our answers were worded quite differently.

Is it really a crime that more than one person wants an end to all this war and fighting?

Perhaps people getting butthurt over anyone sharing a similar opinion as well. In no way did I state my answer was 100% original and I am the first and only to mention world peace. The fact you can try and start conflict (Set it off to the left yo, set it off) over who said what first on a silly coin forum, is a clear sign - we as a species are lot further from becoming homo pacificus (Peaceful human) than we thought. Instead we remain homo bellicosus (Belicose and Beligerent Humans). Also we are homo superstitous - meaning we are dominated by incredibly stupid, competing and false religions.

Hi, no problem, no hard feelings. I mentioned only because I got some dumb reply from somebody, on my post.
Actually I am happy to see, that you are also a peace-loving man. The world would indeed be a much better place if we were able to get rid of all war-propagandists, religion, racism, wokebullshit and so on. The first step to get worldpeace is to lock up ALL politicans, everywhere.

...you can run,  but you can't hide...

This is an item that doesn't exist, but, a food generator - that could create and cook any meal I want.

I merely pointed out that the premise of this post was to select something that exist in the world right now. Obviously since there isn't world peace now selecting that doesn't make sense in the context of this discussion.  I'm sorry if I offended you with my reply. It wasn't intended.

No problem, you did not offend me. I wanted to make a statement, on something what really concerns me. And something what deserves more attention from the common people, because sooner (I fear very soon)or later, the lack of world-peace will affect everybody.

I'd like a Monkey Puzzle Tree - a big one, so that I can see it gets a bit of height before I leave this mortal coil.  May need a bigger garden though…

My reply was dumb, well you replied to me and I reacted.

My second thing I would want in this world, would be to erase all the snowflakes, wokesters and cancel culture fanatics. This would end distraction from non issues and let us focus on fixing this world, like getting rid of dictators, abhorrent political systems, regimes and toxic religions that cause nothing but dissent, misery and war.

The touchy feely crap of the post 1990 political correctness and woke wave of the late 2010s needs to end. Universities need to focus on teaching people skills, not their right to protest and scream about everything.
