Heartstopper season 3 finally has a release date – and we can expect more of Charlie and Nick’s love story in October. Details below.
After announcing Hayley Atwell, Jonathan Bailey and Eddie Marsan as new additions to the cast last month, Netflix has set a release date for one of its most popular series.
Heartstopper will return to our screens on 3rd October. Some of you might know that day as Mean Girls Day after the iconic scene in the 2004 film in which Aaron Samuels asks Cady for the date and it just happens to be 3rd October. Now there’s another reason to celebrate the date.
The announcement comes with a short clip from the upcoming season. In it, Charlie (Joe Locke) is practising saying I love you to Nick in front of a mirror before being picked up by him. The clip is just about a minute long but it encapsulates everything we’ve come to love about Heartstopper; it’s sweet, earnest, romantic and painfully relatable.
The clip also features a sneak listen to a new Billie Eilish track, Birds Of A Feather, which will feature on the singer’s new album, Hit Me Hard And Soft, due to be released this week.
All eight episodes of Heartstopper season 3 will drop at once on Netflix, so you’ll be able to devour them all at once if you so wish.
Sadly, Olivia Colman, who played Nick’s mum Sarah in the first two seasons, won’t be back for this season. Colman told Forbes that she feels “awful” about not being able to be a part of the latest run.

As the summer holiday ends and the months race on, the friends begin to realise that the school year will come with both its joys and its challenges. Heartstopper season 3 will be available to stream on Netflix from 3rd October.
