Mya Lesnar is getting after all-time marks in track and field, following her father, the former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar, to show just what a powerhouse of an athlete she is. A junior at Colorado State University, Mya competes for the Rams at the collegiate level and plays a huge role for the program.
Mya anchored a sweep of the top-three spots in the shot put to lead the Rams women's track and field team to the 2024 Mountain West Outdoor Championship, their second-straight outdoor crown, their fifth-straight Mountain West title.
She performed at her best in the shot put event and was named both Women's Field and Women's Track Performer of the Meet.
Mya Lesnar's Record Break
In the championship event, Mya broke her own school record in the shot put by heaving a throw of 19.08 meters, just better than her best throw of 19.07 meters set earlier in the year at the Don Kirby Invitational in New Mexico.
This recent achievement is proof of how she kept improving and dedicating herself to the sport. Mya made her first waves in December when she set a new Colorado State indoor record at 18.50m for the shot put. She improved that record with a throw of 19.07m just two months later in New Mexico, with her father Brock Lesnar cheering from the stands.
The young athlete states her 19.07-meter throw at that meet set the stage for the latest record-breaking performance.
