Noah Lyles has been making headlines for his incredible performances lately. After winning the three gold medals at the World Championships in 2023, he is considered to be one of the top prospects to bag another gold at the upcoming Paris Olympics. Right after his 150m exploits at the Atlanta City Games, the American athlete expressed a desire to break the legendary athlete, Usain Bolt's decade-long 200m world record, which stands at 19.19s.
Lyles has been targeting to achieve wonders in the sport. By pushing the limits with every competition, he has been inching closer to the records of Bolt. Moreover, he holds the record for the third fastest 200m race ever, which he ran during the World Championships in Eugene, clocking 19.31s and clinching the gold medal.
Noah Lyles released a video on his official Instagram account, revealing his target to break Usain Bolt's 200m World Record and clock 19.10s. He called the mission 'road to 19.10s.'
"It's like maybe, I can't do this or maybe, I can't get this done and then I just have this one thought, and its like, no, I can do this. I'm gonna will it to happen and if I don't who cares. But I promise you, I will not go out there and just let it not happen cause I have worked too hard for this," he said.

Early in the 2024 Olympic season, Noah Lyles envisioned his goals for the Paris Olympics. After an incredible campaign at the World Championships in 2023, he wished to step up once again, and this time he targeted breaking Usain Bolt's record of winning three gold medals at a single Olympic Games.
After winning his first gold medal of the season at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix in February, Noah Lyles announced his goals for the Paris Olympics.
