SEEKING JUSTICE. THIS MOMENTS BEFORE SHOTS RANG OUT SATURDAY NIGHT. MULTIPLE GUNSHOT VICTIMS. THIS IS GOING TO BE WEST HALL, D AVENUE, SOUTH 14TH STREET. WITNESSES DESCRIBED HEARING SOME SORT OF ARGUMENT NEAR THE CORNER OF 14TH AND HALSEY. I WAS SITTING WITH MY BOYFRIEND AND WE HEARD SIX SHOTS. WE LOOKED OUTSIDE THE WINDOW. MY BOYFRIEND SAID, THERE’S TWO PEOPLE LYING ON THE GROUND. HE GRABBED A BLANKET AND RAN OUTSIDE. ONCE OUTSIDE, WITNESSES FOUND TWO YOUNG BOYS SHOT AND NOTICED OTHERS RUNNING AWAY. I HEARD THREE GUNSHOTS AND THEN I SAW THIS MAN WITH A RED HOODIE. HE RAN SOMEWHERE OVER THERE. WE DON’T KNOW ANYTHING AT ALL. DELILAH SANCHEZ SAYS HER BROTHER, 15 YEAR OLD ALEJANDRO SANCHEZ, IS ONE OF THE BOYS WHO DIED. THE GREENFIELD HIGH SCHOOL FRESHMAN, REMEMBERED FOR BEING OUTGOING AND SOCIAL. HE WOULD LIKE GOING TO THE PARK WITH HIS FRIENDS, PLAY BASKETBALL OR JUST SIT THERE AND TALK. HE LIKE DOING A LOT OF STUFF WITH HIS FRIENDS, SHE SAYS. HIS BEST FRIEND WAS 15 YEAR OLD MONROE WISEAU FAMILY IDENTIFIES HIM AS THE SECOND VICTIM. THEY DID NOT WANT TO GO ON CAMERA MONDAY, BUT SAY THE WEST ALLIS CENTRAL STUDENT HAD A PERSONALITY THAT COULD LIGHT UP A ROOM. BOTH FAMILIES LEFT GRIEVING AS POLICE RIGHT NOW TRY TO FIGURE OUT WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR DEATHS. THEY WERE SO YOUNG AND THEY HAD SO MUCH LIFE AHEAD OF THEM, AND I’M REALLY SAD THAT THESE THINGS KEEP HAPPENING IN OUR COMMUNITY ALL THE TIME. Milwaukee police said two teenagers were killed after a shooting on Milwaukee's south side late Saturday night. The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office said the victims were 15-year-old boys. Family members have identified one of the 15-year-olds at Alejandro Sanchez."Its so unexpected, and especially since its so cruel. Its such a cruel thing to happen to my brother. A little boy," said Dalilah Sanchez, his older sister. "He liked doing a lot of stuff with his friends. He was a good person and he always looked out for people too."The Sanchez family has started a GoFundMe to help with funeral expenses.The other boy has also been identified by his family as Monroe Weso. A GoFundMe campaign to help with Weso's funeral expenses was created by a family member.Police said the shooting happened shortly after 10:30 p.m. Saturday near South 14th Street and West Halsey Avenue. "Pom, pom, pom three times they shoot, three times they shoot," neighbor Akhbar Yaakob-Kahn said. Yaakob-Kahn described the shooter as a man in a red sweatshirt who ran on foot from the scene. Another neighbor said she heard yelling, and saw six or seven people in hooded sweatshirts run from the scene. "They were so young, and they had so much life ahead of them. And I'm really sad that these things keep happening in our community," said Grey McEachern, who witnessed the aftermath. "I just want to find the person that did it," Sanchez said. "Especially, I don't want this to happen to other peoples' children and other peoples' lives.
