Our defence

Utterly atrocious.  This is a backline as poor as I can ever remember.

Happens every time goldson is out the squad. 

It was make shift mate, we've four first choice centre backs missing at the end there, but I'd get shot of tav and yilmaz tbh.

Everyone already knows this, it’s been discussed literally every day for weeks now 

We went through a spell in Feb where we only conceded about 3 shots on target in 5 games. From that to this is farcical

We finished that game with a Championship level defence.

What defence, forth and fifth choice at center half a right back who could never defend in the first place and some how has managed to get  worse and a left back who in two years has managed about half a dozen above average performances and they were all before January. We will get absolutely battered next week.

That's exactly what it means, you can't sit back when your defenders are that bad.

I feel sorry for Sterling. Not that he is the problem, however, he has played in just about every position but his preferred one, which is right back. He is definitely out of position as a CH. He can't even get a game in midfield where he has looked good.

Say what you like, but we are worse off without Goldson...

Ridvan's defending has always been a worry so I would sell. The Turks will pay good money.

Sell Tav and Goldson to the Saudis, Ridvan to Turkey and Davies to the Championship. (keep Souttar)

Should get 15M in total to get a brand new defence starting with Cordoba.

Clement already said it would cost someone a fair chunk for Tav or Goldson. If it's Saudi money, it's not unreasonable to get 4M each. Same for Ridvan and 3M for Davies.

There’s nobody paying 3 million for Davies.

Ridvan made the exact same mistake today as he did mid-week.  Fuck knows why he isn't watching the player behind him. 

It’s our whole fucking team - apart from Butland. It won’t be but Tav’s place in the side should be under threat for next week.

Fuck me there's no way we should be getting stuck with these guys, I'd put them on eBay with no reserve, just so long as they are gone.

If anyone comes in offering even half that for Tavernier and Goldson I doubt we'll be very difficult to deal with. Davies will either be 'undisclosed' or here until the end of his contract. Ridvan has been honking the past couple of games, again I doubt we'll be difficult to deal with if someone comes in for him but Clement may want a full preseason to work with him before making up his mind if he's worth persevering with. I think he does have the potential to be a decent player but only if he can go on a long run of games without constant mystery niggly injuries that keep him out for weeks at a time.

There is nowhere on this earth we're getting 15 million for those 4 players, in fact I'd say if we got half that we'd be doing well.
