Vanderpump Rules Cast Relives Their Most Iconic (and 'Cringey') Moments (Exclusive)

James Kennedy, Scheana Shay, Ariana Madix, Katie Maloney, Lala Kent, Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval react to some of the Bravo hit's most storied moments

From pasta fights to Pinot Grigio mishaps, and of course, the Scandoval that changed it all, the Vanderpump Rules cast has spent 11 seasons giving fans an endless supply of memorable moments.

Now the former SUR employees are looking back at some of the hit Bravo reality series' biggest - and most "cringey" - moments, sharing the behind-the-scenes stories that have made the Emmy-nominated show appointment television since its premiere in 2013.

James Kennedy, Scheana Shay, Ariana Madix, Katie Maloney, Lala Kent, Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval sat down with PEOPLE to look back at the season 10 scene where they all put the pieces together around Sandoval's affair with former cast member Rachel "Raquel" Leviss.

"I learned that two-plus-two equals he's probably f---ing someone else, and he was," recalls Kent, who brought up some of the earliest suspicions of the scandal to the rest of the cast. "I had Spidey senses season 10. I was a wounded woman and I was looking to hold all these straight men accountable."

"I had no idea," says a heated Kennedy about the longtime dalliance between his former best friend and his ex-girlfriend. "Honestly I'm an idiot because I would have been fooled if Ariana didn't pick up that phone that night and saw that video."

The dissolution of Madix and Sandoval's relationship made countless headlines, and the latter is still recovering from the blowback.

"It's been a rollercoaster ride," he explains. "People are calling it some sort of like redemption thing for me or whatever, but it's not. I feel like it's just re-humanizing me."

One of the earliest watercooler moments came from a tense standoff between Shay and former cast member Stassi Schroeder during one of the former's shifts at Lisa Vanderpump's popular West Hollywood eatery that served as the show's original setting.

"I'm not really sure what I've done to you, but I'll take a Pinot Grigio," Schroeder retorts to the then-waitress when Vanderpump inquires about their season 3 feud.

"Dang girl, you came up with that just on the spot? Kudos," applauds Madix about the oft-repeated one-liner, with Maloney adding, "She was so quick-witted, like goals."

The line is celebrated amongst the cast with Schwartz admitting "I have a coaster that I got on Etsy that says [it]," and Kent stating "I think even Scheana would be like, 'I took the 'L' with that.' "

Even Shay herself calls the moment "iconic" upon looking back, saying she "can't even hate on it anymore because it was so clever."

She adds that she would welcome Schroeder back to the series "with open arms and a Pinot Grigio."

It's a season 6 scene featuring Kent and Kennedy fighting about stolen carbohydrates on the busy streets of Los Angeles that may contain the show's most quoted line to date: "It's not about the pasta!"

But as the cast assures, the delightful ridiculousness of the moment lies in that fact that it actually was about the filling food.

"It was the angel hair checca," Madix thinks back, while Maloney is convinced it was about "the penne pasta," adding that the Italian dishes at SUR "were always the best."

"I do understand why he was so upset... you see that he thought that was my way of like bullying his chick," Kent reflects on Kennedy yelling at her for bringing up an incident where she nabbed his then-girlfriend's plate of food. "Really it's just what happens when the whole group is on six edibles, smoking blunts, ok? Like we don't care whose food we're eating. I would have eaten Table 6's food."

"I also remember the triple shot of bourbon that I took right before that conversation," Kennedy thinks back. "People have brought bags of pasta to my shows, I've got pasta sauce."

The DJ continues, "You know, I don't know what people expect me to do with it, but I can't be swinging the pasta tomato sauce around the nightclub."
