Ruth Brown Obituary

Ruth S. Brown
Ruth S. Brown, one hundred and one trips around the sun! - countless adventures: flew on a Ford trimotor, sailed on the QEII, traveled through Europe, Asia, including China, and the Caribbean - she was an active swimmer into her nineties and logged over 6,500 miles - from "upstate" New York, she and her husband (LG) of 70 years raised three sons in Texas and became lifelong friends with Oscar and the Buells - continued life for 50 plus years in Midland, MI - the stories she could tell, the friends she knew, and acquaintances she met all added to her remarkable journey - she and LG were active in the community: Memorial Presbyterian Church, Center for the Arts, and Salvation Army to name a few - she leaves 2 sons, 7 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren residing in Texas and New Mexico - she is preceded in death by her husband, a son, and a grandchild - Ruth had a passion for travel, meeting and enjoying people, and learning about their lives and experiences - her unique style, grace, humor, and wit will be missed - she left us with a better place than she found it - her favorite quote paraphrased – don't be sad it is over, be glad it happened.
