Hall Of Fame WR Calvin Johnson Excited To Watch Washington Commanders' Jayden Daniels

Washington Commanders rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels has caught the eye of one of the best receivers in NFL history.

Jayden Daniels may not have been the most-hyped quarterback prospect in this year's draft, but there are those that believe he could end up being the best of the bunch.

Not only do some analysts believe the Washington Commanders quarterback has that potential, but so does one of the greatest receivers to ever play. During an appearance on ESPN's Unsportsmanlike Radio, Detroit Lions Hall of Fame receiver Calvin Johnson revealed that Daniels is the rookie quarterback he's most excited to watch this season.

Jayden

“Obviously Caleb is out there, but Jayden, I've always been a low-key LSU fan from when Saban was there back in the day” Johnson said. "So, I look forward to seeing how Jayden comes out, and I’ve also had the fortune of meeting the kid and talking to him for a short bit, so folks that I come in contact with on the professional realm tend to be fans of him.”

Receiving that kind of praise from an NFL legend like Johnson before even taking a single snap is a lot of pressure to live up to, but as the Commanders' newly-anointed franchise quarterback, Daniels is used to it at this point.

Daniels is coming off an incredible season that saw him account for nearly 5,000 total yards and 50 total touchdowns to win the Heisman Trophy. If he's as good as advertised, then he should have no trouble living up to the hype that Johnson and others have bestowed upon him.
